Do I need a physician’s prescription?

Yes. A physician’s approval/prescription will ensure proper treatment of your physical condition. An initial consultation with us does not require a prescription.

I’m due for an amputation soon. Is it too soon to contact you?

How soon after surgery am I ready to be fit for my prosthesis?

Your doctor makes that decision. Evaluations and consultations are always done free of charge, and do not require a prescription. We do require a prescription from a medical doctor to begin fabricating a prosthesis.

Can I contact some of you other clients for references?

We’re happy to furnish names and contact information from our clients who are happy to share their Gateway Orthotics and Prosthetics experience with you.

Are your practitioners board certified?

Yes. Our practitioners are certified. We attend numerous World wide meetings and seminars on advances in the field of prosthetics

Do I have a choice of prosthetic providers?

Yes, you do. Even if one prosthetist made your initial artificial limb, you can select a different prosthetist to make your permanent prosthesis. Please call or email for an appointment.

Do I need an appointment for an adjustment to my prosthetic?

Call our office for an appointment and in most cases the adjustment can be done while you wait.
